Orchid

The office this morning was a bit of a surprise. The spare desk we have was covered in cakes:- lemon, joghurt and nut muffins, Irish Coffee Muffins, a cherry cake, a Russischer Zupfkuchen (that doesn't translate. It's a cross between a cheesecake and a chocolate cake like this) and a great big tray of brownies.

My colleague hadn't said anything to me about this, so I was a little taken aback.

It was a "thank you" from my colleague and his wife for the wedding present that we as a department had given them.

So we had a stream of visitors for the whole day all popping in to say hallo and enjoy a bit of cake and a coffee with them. Made for a very different and very enjoyable sort of Friday.
