FEATHERS

The feathers from these gorgeous Macaws are highly prized among the local Native American tribes, who use them in various religious ceremonies. My daughter-in-law, and by extension her parents are full-blooded Zuni, and I am told that when her dad arrives back at the reservation with a bag filled with these colorful beauties, he is one of the most popular guys in the tribe. Of course, if you knew Phil, you would know that he would be popular with, or without feathers!! :-)

With that said, let me state here and now, for the record, NO MACAWS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS PHOTOGRAPH!! Those feathers just fell out!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!
