Behind Bohuntin Hill

It has been very tired today. The Burns Night was excellent as usual. More well researched, well delivered thought provoking speeches, the work of Burns as relevant today as the era in which it was originally penned.
I have to be honest it is the one night of the year where the alcohol I consume (with friends) must come close to what some may class “binge drinking”.
I took on plenty of water through the evening to combat alcohol induced dehydration and the night was divided with a substantial dinner too. Despite these measures I still woke feeling very tired; no head splitting hang over or sense of nausea; just tired.
Caley still expected a decent Saturday walk of course and where ever we went it had to be done on foot. The start of the Upper Inverroy walk is only 10 or 15 minutes on foot from the house but it as an awkward route partly along the side of the fast A86 trunk road with a very excited Caley on the lead.
I toyed with the idea of crossing the burn at the track termination and continuing to the Bohuntin Road via the back of Bohuntin Hill. The burn was well swollen and impossible to cross so we just reversed the outward route still giving a good six miles in fresh air.

Mrs Cakes did her own Burns Night. The girls came round for Curry and Cocktails and she was also very tired today.

It was very wet at times on the walk and it was difficult to get the camera out and in without it getting soaked. There is some watery sunshine here.
