GB v Scotland v Commonwealth v USA

Unsurprisingly, today's blip is from the indoor athletics match at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. This is an annual event in Glasgow, and my first ever attendance at an athletics meet was the Dairy Crest international at the Kelvin Hall in the late eighties.

The match is rarely a classic - a slightly artificial team rivalry with no real meaning in the athletics year - but it is a great early season run out, and gives up and coming athletes a chance to experience international competition. There are usually a few superstars in the house and today we were treated to the utter magnificence of Bernard Lagat and Kim Collins.

Catching an action blip was a challenge and my pics of Bernard and Kim were too blurry. But this is not a bad one of Chris Tomlinson, flying into a neatly raked pit.
