Waiting for the parade

What a gorgeous sunny day and Greek Independence Day to boot!

We met friends for coffee then wandered around soaking up the sun and colours. Little did we know that it was the day of the parade celebrating independence from the Italians in 1944. At least that's what the man in the restaurant told me.

I think it's an excuse to get out, soak up some rays and enjoy some souvlaki.
