Panoramic Prague

Today it's one of me!

Dad managed to join mum and I in Prague late last night (I saw him first at breakfast this morning)- it's great to have the three of us together.

We mostly spent the day on the "cathedral side" of the river, meaning we spent a lot of the day with great views out over the various roofs of buildings and churches that make up the city skyline. We stopped for a beer and then later a hot chocolate melted chocolate in an outside bar area which had panoramic views over the city. Amazing.

There were odd flurries of snow throughout the day, which added another layer of a magical-feeling about the place.

We also went on a river cruise (an odd family tradition that we must upkeep on any holiday) and braved sitting upside for the entire time (in the -4* temperature). The traditional Czech goulash we had for lunch warmed us right up.

Dad and I went out for dinner tonight (double goulash and beer in one day!) and found an incredible little medieval restaurant (again, with the vaulted ceilings) which had an 8 metre deep well in the middle of the restaurant. It turns out the Czech's also make a damn good apple strudel.
