Another One

The poppies have been especially good this season, with many flowering at any one time. And they keep on surprising me with new faces.

Yesterday's searing nor'wester kept up through the night and right up to mid-afternoon. Everything was dry, and only the big trees were not wilting. The sou'west change brought rain. The temperature fell from the mid twenties to below 10ºC.

I got heaps done. When the rain started I was halfway through weeding the carrots. At first it was pleasant, but then I had to get the big sun umbrella to work under in order to finish the job. Now, after about five hours of rain, the garden has perked up.
