Native tamarind chutney

About 20 years ago, I planted a tamarind tree in the backyard. Today it is a beautiful specimen and chock full of fruit.

After much googling, I eventually found a recipe for Australian tamarind chutney, which I duly modified so it is more in keeping with my Asian tastebuds.

Apparently, tamarind fruit is a bit of a superfood and, among other things, stimulates hair growth. Maybe it'll give me a few hairs on my chest or a bushier beard (... or, knowing my luck, some extra nasal or ear hairs).

Production was quite labour intensive, but the end result (amazingly) does look like chutney! It should be ready to eat in four weeks. Watch this space!
