Snow over the Riverside

Yesterday late night, a fierce Eastern wind blew new snow into our small river-side world. So we awoke early to see how we would find the panorama all whitened up. How would we make our deep-winter-walk? Admirer first did her little round around the house. To feed the birds and make some pictures. Slowly it came out that we would first do our horse-service and then walk up through the forest and then return over the lower track back into town. And so we did.

Starting with our dear neighbour -she went up into the white forest, we went down alongside the Little Brook, which was partly hiding under thick layers of snow. There we met our Dutch friends JP&E with their dogs enjoying their wintery hillside-tour. On the Weserbridge I took the only really feasable picture, as turned out later on. But first there had to be some duck- and swan-feeding. After which we climbed up to Paule, Beauty and Lucky, the Eisenbahnerheim-horses. They were standing on the overgrown terrace of the big half-ruin. Slightly surprised to see people coming up. But lucky to get some snacky big carrots.

From there on, as we moved higher into the snow-white forest, the silence enveloped us as a thick wintercoat. And so finally we returned with some extra inner coating, bringing the good winterspirits home to our Gardian Oaktree.
