Expect the Unexpected

But I didn't expect to be in the hospital this morning. We set out on our bikes for breakfast in the local village - four of us Mr A, my son and his girlfriend and me. After a little way we looked back and Alex my son was not with us. Nina thought he had gone back to the house for something so we cycled on a for a bit and then a motorbike drew up with him on the back holding his arm. The pedal had snapped off his bike and he had fallen badly onto the road .. so we phoned immediately for an auto to take him to hospital.. leaving two of the bikes at a tea stall on the side of the road.

Well all I can say is that we were dealt with immediately and efficiently X rays, doctor and then plastering as he has fractured his wrist .. He was due to fly north with Nina on Wednesday to start trekking in the Himalayas .. not sure what is going to happen now. He is very grazed, patched up elbow, shoulder, toes and cast on his wrist which is fractured in two places.

The last time he was in India he fractured his shoulder and that resulted in him staying here for 3 months but in that time giving up smoking, alcohol, becoming vegetarian and taking up martial arts.. all things he still maintains.. So Good Luck, Bad Luck - who knows .. .
