for the past 2 weeks, our son's been working hard on a school project - 'telling a digital story'. he decided that he wanted to make a stop motion animation with legos. he told his teacher it was going to be 3 minutes long. when i heard the details, i have to admit i was a bit concerned. 3 minutes times 15fps (frames per second) = 2,700 still shots! that doesn't include any editing or post production time. for the past week, he's been steadily working on his project every night for a few hours. i know any parent would be proud, but i have to say that i'm particularly proud of his dedication and commitment. his short film is also looking quite polished. did i mention he's only 13? :)
