Gie's a drink, Jubilee Fountain, Stirling

Until this afternoon I didn't know there was a Jubilee Fountain in Stirling. It was erected by the citizens of the town (now city) to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the reign of Queen Victoria in 1887 and stands outside the Sheriff Court.

The Budweiser can was already in situ and wasn't placed there by me (or repositioned) just for this photo! But it does look as if the lion is looking wistfully at the can, with tears indicating he fancies a drink from it - or is that just my over-fertile imagination?
