At home: Move and the beetle gets it!

How unfortunate for be a beetle passing in front of a puppy heading out for a walk. Eva, spotted its beetling from much further up the lane. Its head down, going about its dung beetling business.

I am guessing that it was having quite a nice time. Perhaps heading into the horses field for a mid morning snack. It was certainly heading that way.

Eva danced around the beetle. Clearly trying to work out why its carries those prongs. I gather that they must work a bit like a hay fork, twisting and gathering material between the two prongs. I always found a hay fork so much easier to use than a four pronged fork. Maybe the dung beetle helped influence the design the hay fork.

Anyway, the fearsome pup tipped the travelling beetle, and then spent some ten minutes trying to work out what to do next. I am guessing she was watching to make sure it didn't right itself and run back underneath her! Or rather she was trying to act cool and make out she was going for the kill!.....Hardly Eva!
