Amsterdam

We checked out of The Hague @ 9am and arrived at our hotel in Amsterdam @ 10am. By 10.30 we were all on our way to the nearby Van Gogh museum. Several bold brushstrokes later, all the kids wandered off in threes in various directions and Pelin and I headed to the old central area of Amsterdam where we spent the next four hours walking around amidst canals, bicycles and bridges. Saw but didn't enter Rembrandt's house and bought quite a lot of Gouda.

The photo shows our hotel (second building on the left) and in the distance, the pointy towers of the Rijksmuseum which is our destination tomorrow before leaving Holland.

Cold, but much warmer than The Hague or Leiden - even had a little sunshine.
