River was a road.

Attended training at the pool today. Hadn't quite prepared for having to drive along a flooded road to get there though. It's the ONLY one that leads to the centre of the island from the North end, so it was Hobson's choice and hope not to stall in the middle of it all. None of the natives have known this road to be washed out before. There's some debate about whether it was rain or sea, but the fact it's beside a low bit of dune and the amount of flotsam and jetsam leading to it, I suspect the latter. The other day I was worried about the sea coming over the dunes. Now that I've seen this, I think my concern has some merit. Time to think seriously about going to bed with arm-bands on.
