The ever watchful face....

This is our local church in our historic market town. I'm not remotely religious but I do love a bit of history. This church has been here since 1850 but another stood in its place long before this one. I think it looks a little bit like a wizard! I often wonder what events this face has witnessed. How many kisses and hugs from loved ones it has seen. How many scrapped knees of children it has winced at as their mum kisses it better. How many tears it has seen shed by the sad and grieving. There must be a billion billion memory's trapped in the mortar of that face and how amazing would it be to be able to tap into them memories!!
