MOBS

Today was my first and last day on the maternal observation (MOBS) unit at Harris FW. The nurses were super nice and awesome company. They are proud of the job they do and passionate about patient care. They made sure that I got to see things, even though there wasn't a lot going on in their unit. Plus I got some bonus study time.

Today reminded me just how small the world really is. Everyone in medicine knows everyone. And sometimes knowing people makes all the difference.

Today some buddies went to the conference. Friend who is at a remote site is staying with us tonight, but we'll be in bed before he gets here.

About the photo: Safe baby site signs are posted outside of all hospitals and fire stations. They are meant to protect the most helpless of humans by notifying the public that young infants can be dropped off in good health with no questions asked.
