Turning Tide - Kaiteriteri

There have been some enormous King Tides throughout New Zealand over the last few days. I understand that there have also been very big tides in other parts of the world. I would be interested to hear news of those tides from Blippers in other countries.
The high tide at 1.pm ate up most of the beach front. There was only a narrow strip of sand for Rachel, me and half the camp to lie on in the sun.
The water taxis, some very large, were able to nose right up to the steep sands almost at the roadside. They looked very large and over-whelming so close to sunbathers. The sea deepened very rapidly so was good for swimming.
I went down to the shore at low tide….. a very big low tide again. The tide was just starting to come in again quite rapidly. It was making rather nice patterns on the golden sand as can be seen in today’s image.
