Tangled

Contrast in photography normally refers to the amount of difference between the lightest and darkest parts of an image. In this respect, this is a high-contrast photo. However, I also like the contrast between the tangled barbed wire - often used as a symbol of dystopia or confinement - and the bright blue sky, a traditional metaphor for freedom and optimism.

The weather was reasonably pleasant again today, so I ventured out to Coalhouse Fort once more.
