Catrina

Last night may well have been our Dia de los Muertos party, but today and tomorrow are the actual days for the celebration, and this is a Catrina, a skeletal female figure popular in Mexico around this time.

Quick coffee with Steven and Eliza in Glasgow, before going to see 'Up' in 3D. Now here's an interesting idea employed by the cinema. Charge around £3.50 more than usual because the film is in 3D and they have to give you special glasses that make you look like Roy Orbison. And then ask you to put the 3D glasses into a 'recycle' box afterwards. I'll tell you what, if you want your glasses back then by all means charge more to get in for the 3D effect, but give a refund for handing the glasses back in. Hmmm?

Good film though. There are definitely more 'slow' bits than the crammed-in young audience around us could appreciate, but it really all works (and the 3D effect wasn't bad either).

Not sure where there's going to be any time at all this week for everything that needs to be done. Website to go online; video to be made reviewing bike lights for the Edinburgh Bike Co-Op (I've got about £300 worth of lights on loan at the mo); and two nights out are planned during the week. My timing is impeccable...
