A Broody Stoodley Pike

Another wet, wet day. We didn't walk to Stoodley Pike, but walked on the opposite side of the valley at Higher Eastwood.

Stoodley Pike is a big solid monument built of Millstone Grit and was completed in 1856 at the end of the Crimean War. It stands 120 ft tall on top of a hill 1,300 ft above sea level and has a balcony at 40ft which offers stunning views of Calderdale. It is on the Pennine Way.
