Dare To Endeavour

Paddy Brennan steered Dare to Endeavour to victory today through mud and rain. The horses were doing brilliantly in heavy conditions and they were all jumping well.

I love standing by the winners enclosure in the rain watching the steam come off the horses. The jockeys are splattered in mud, except those who have won from the front all the way round - they are all clean and shiny. The horses ears are pricked up and they look beautiful.

My racing expert friend dampened the romantic streak in me by saying "they all look lovely when they have won". Spoken by a hardened racing enthusiast.
