Lizzie gets plastered

We've spent much of the last two days at hospital. A pavement cyclist with no brakes came speeding round a blind, downhill bend and smashed into Lizzie, leaving her with cuts, bruises and a badly broken wrist.

Two doctors had a tug of war with Lizzie's arm yesterday to get the bones back into the right place and today we went for a new cast (blip) and more X-rays. They'll check it every week and if there's any movement she will need an op.

The specialist has warned Lizzie not to do anything with the arm. So far, the patient is ignoring that advice and trying to carry on like nothing has happened.
