An Avid Lensman

Thunder Buses are GO!!

London Buses whizz down from the sky up in the capital, past Centrepoint!

Weekly visits to the Big Smoke in order to fully utilise South West Train's Winter offer saw me, eventually, freezing my Wotsits off, standing on this corner, hand-holding at 1/5sec, camera on slow-drive, as groups of big red people-mobiles hurtle by. Got one or two odd looks, mind you!

Lens is Nikkor 10-24mm.

Tons of shadow extraction, making it look a little grainy, selective contrast brightness and some extra colour saturation and that was that! And a touch of cropping both ends and sharpening too. No other effects were used in the making of this image!

In yesterday's oh-so beautiful and peaceful landscape, well I was joined then by a plethora of flying metal beasts. Not only does it seem that Pewsey Vale is under a domestic flight-path but the Military were also in full exercise! The distinctive wocca wocca of the Chinook and one or two really rather close Gazelle's - good thing I wasn't paranoid and that I didn't try and shoot them back (with a long lens, of course!), but this area is adjacent to Salisbury Plain after all.

For a long time, I had one image, May Day Dancing, in Blip's "Top Rated" folder - these are the Blips with the highest amount of stars awarded - showing that stars really DO count! Well, checking yesterday, I had a total of ELEVEN in there, mostly from quite recently...How does this all happen?? It is so lovely and SO appreciated, I love you ALL!

Thinking of all down south west and here's so hoping that you're safe, warm and dry, wherever you are.
