An Avid Lensman

By SarumStroller

Suitable for a Sunday...

After the zany, manic and zesty colours and OTT Sci-fi flying London buses of yesterday, thanking you ALL so much for getting it right to the top of the Spotlights! - here is something rather more suiting a peaceful Sunday....

Salisbury Cathedral Cloisters get the circular fisheye lens treatment, then monofied. Vast tonal and exposure contrasts in this one, so quite a bit of work. And yes, these two Cloisters run at 90 degrees to each other and I am only about a foot away from that big pillar!

Same lens used in same Cathedral for my 500th Blip, which receievd no less than 77 Favourites!!

Lens is Sigma 8mm f3.5 circular fisheye on the old and falling to bits FX D700

Going to now enjoy some Winter Olympics coverage on the good old BBC, will get back to you lovely lot later!
