Mugdock Park

For reasons of convenience, (avoiding overcrowded trains serving one major rugby and two major football games), it was decided to drive to Glasgow to deposit Miss Flum in the northern suburbs.

The question therefore arose, how do Mr Flum and I amuse ourselves afterwards? There is much of interest in the area, and little that we have seen.

The answer was determined by the weather: find some lunch and make for home. So it was we sat watching the teeming rain as we supped on Cullen Skink in the restaurant at Mugdock Park, followed by a wander in the visitor centre, seen here, which was the stable block for Mugdock castle.

The return journey, with views of the Campsie Fells, reinforced our determination to explore this area further, preferably in better weather.
