The axeman cometh!

This is Sandy. He was chopping a felled beech tree into logs. The tree had been dead for sometime and the branches might have fallen across the small lane at Lincoln Hill.

I was out for a short walk on tarmac to start breaking in my new walking boots. Nowadays boots don't really need breaking in, but I'm always cautious about using them for a long walk until I'm sure they are not rubbing. No problem with these; they are exactly the same as my last pair and very comfortable. Thanks to the lovely people at the Altberg factory in Richmond, N Yorkshire.

Still feeling much better and trying not to do too much. Off to our Photo club tonight.
