Three houses and a Pub.

We hadn't been to Beetham Garden centre for many a long moon.
Gaffer fancied a look around the "village" (Definition of "Village" = ≥3 houses and a Pub. I think Beetham qualifies just.)

Prior to the event I had a virtual drive around. The first thing I noticed was total lack of anywhere to park a car, even for most houses. There was one place, maybe 100yds from the Pub and declaring it was "For ***** Patrons only". We couldn't even, legally, pause outside the tea-Shop/Post Office.

Back home, did a "Google©" (Other doofers are available, not that you'd realise it.)

I was informed by the ubiquitous WIKIwotnot that ...

Points of interest include:

The Church of St Michael and All Angels, parts of which date from the 12th century.
The Heron Corn Mill, a working watermill and active arts and education centre.
The Heron Theatre, an 80 seat theatre housed in the listed 18th century grammar school .
The Fairy Steps, a natural staircase in a limestone crag.
A small shrine to Saint Lioba (or Leoba), built into a stone wall in the nearby hamlet of Slackhead.

We'll have to see if there's a park somewhere within toddling distance.
