Major's Lake again

Out on our walk this afternoon to monitor the flooding situation. The Major's Lake featured a couple of times on blip before. The lake is OK but the stream running into the lake is swollen. Down at Mallards lake the flooding was worse than shown the other day and in Mote Park we had to turn back owing to the bridge from which this shot was taken being cut off on both sides. I've never seen so much water there before, all the land either side of the river is covered in water. And the forecast for tomorrow is yet more rain and very strong winds.

Spent the morning battling with insurers, getting travel insurance sorted and trying to get a good deal on breakdown insurance. Successful in the end with both but not successful in trying to understand the costs of 0845 and 0800 calls on my landline contract or my mobile contract. Spent some time finishing off a blog for my website which I started some months ago. Blip has kind of over taken website duties.
