Cambrian Railways mural in Oswestry

This beautiful 45 m. mural was painted by Anna Roberts on an uninteresting wall opposite Wilkinsons in Oswestry in 2011. It was sponsored by Footfall, a community partnership who aim to brighten the town with art. As well as this there are two more murals and a number of empty shops have art displays from local schools.

The train is very apt as Oswestry was the headquarters of the Cambrian Railways. Volunteers are trying to re-open part of the line after it closing in the 1960s as part of the Beeching cuts.
