Town Hall Affairs

A busy today doing Council related stuff.
10.30 - Meeting with David Clark and a catch up about affairs that are not on the agenda of usual council business.
12.30 - 15.00 Setting up the Bakewell Fair Trade Day 'Bakewells Gone Bananas' involving numerous phone calls to councils, Chatsworth and art work writing press releases etc. (more info to follow!)
15.00 - 16.00 A look at the roof at the town hall (see pic above) with the crazy weather there's water pouring into the town hall and a visit from the project managers who were involved in the original work and sorting out a pal of action of how we're going to solve the problem.
16.00 16.30 A visit and welcome to see Michel whose opening a gallery in the old Hedgehog cafe next door to Town Hall and to see what we as a council can do to help him.
16.30 -16.45 - Popped into Stewarts regarding balloons and involvement in Banana day.
17.00 - 17.15 A visit to the Coop to see manager Simon. Our Coop is a fully fledged Fairtrade business and are on board with crates of bananas for Bakewells Banana relay.
17.15 - 18.00 - Calling local artists to see if they would like to get involved with the new gallery.
More phone calls for a catch up regarding council and general Bakewell stuff.
