Lambs Tails

No, not Lamb's 'Tales from Shakespeare', but hazel catkins (male).

Dawn this morning was crisp and clear and so I expected a good blip-day.
However, an hour and a half later, high cloud had invaded from the west with cirro-stratus giving a partial 22 degree halo round the sun. The reason it was only partial was because it was thickening and lowering to alto-stratus. Classic signs of an approaching front. I therefore popped out just before lunch to grab a blip or two while it was still dry.

Just as well that I did because it was soon blowing and sleeting.
