Clairette

A successful first night performance of our Pantomime last night followed by the pub so it was quite a feat to be out walking this morning, albeit at 8.30 am which is quite late for us!

It was a good walk, dry, not windy and quite firm under foot. We went over the moors to Long Lee and back via the St Ives Estate, about 4.5 miles but it was a very dull morning so not ideal for photographs, though I did see this curious shaggy sheep.

So when we got back I decided to try a macro shot of my new little Iris Reticulata 'Clairette' as I don't think, they will last very long especially of we get the storms back later today. There were lots of varieties of these for sale yesterday and I chose ones that were still in bud, but the flowers had opened by the time we got home.

If you want to see more of yesterday's snowdrops from our trip to Burton Agnes Hall see here.

More Panto tonight so we are treating ourselves to lunch out - well it is Valentines Day!
