Oxford and the dinosaurs

We had a prehistoric time in Oxford today.

We started off the fun at the Natural History Museum which opened its doors today for the first time in 14 months following a £2M renovation. There are some huge and awe inspiring dinosaurs there, along with some amazing looking rocks, birds, fox, owl, pony and giant dinosaur footprints on the lawn outside. C just kept pointing and saying 'it's a big dinosaur!'.

We headed off out for lunch as the new cafe was buckling under the pressure of all the visitors. A lovely stroll ensued around a now sunny Oxford, visit to Waterstones for a spot of craft and new book buying and we were ready to head back via the museum again.

I took C back into the museum to check out the dinosaurs one last time and get C a souvenir one from the shop. He chose a long cuddly snake instead which he fell asleep cuddling on the way home - boys!

Great fun day out and C was so knackered after all the walking around Oxford city centre and the museum that he was spark out as soon as he got in his little bed.
