There was a certain amount of apprehension yesterday about the feasibility of this weekend's free skating. We'd planned it months ago and then the weather decided to do the dirty on us.

But after a night of howling winds and driving rain, the sun came out and so did the children.

And so - with a bit of prompting - did the snow.
