Smoking Tonight

Heading west from Aberdeen we very quickly ran into a cold wet wind and snow, however diverting south to the coast we found the sunshine in Arbroath. The sea outside the harbour looked quite choppy, and there were waves smashing against the harbour wall.

We didn't actually smell any Smokies, so perhaps there was no smoking today. The town was fairly busy as might be expected on a Saturday. There were quite a few people fishing from the harbour wall. They looked dressed for the cold, It didn't feel too bad for us as we were walking, but standing in in the wind with a fishing rod I think it could quite quickly feel pretty chilled.

There were some colourful boats in the harbour, some from quite far away according to their registration. It made a change to see something other than supply boats.
