Ski Jump

Tension mounted in the Tewkesbury Stadium tonight at the Alternate Olympic Games and all eyes fixed on Lotte ladybird, as she waited on the ski-jump platform ready for the off.

An unnerving incident involving the previous contender who had crashed and burned on the slopes below halted proceedings. It resulted in picking up the pieces of her fellow compatriot and did nothing to steady her nerves as she waited for the hooter to sound to make the leap of her life; a moment she'd been in training for all year! Who knows what was running through her mind as she tightly gripped the leaf!! Ripples of anticipation went through the crowd; everyone willing her on...'Go Lotte..GO!!' reverberated round to whistles and drums, to give her a huge boost.

Team Blue-bottle is doing well overall, here in the spotlight - balancing on the high-beam. All looked good till he was clearly caught on camera using his tongue to help him stay on track. A real no-no and instant disqualification.

In the heats for the 100m Dash, Bobby blue-tit got off to a flying start coming well within the qualifying times, amid cheers from the crowds who like to support the underdog.

Newsflash ---- Lotte is now lying in second place to the delight of her fans here in the stadium which is a sea of red and black flags waving wildly amid squeals and shrieks of delight.

Remember folks - you saw it here first!!
