Veiled Vines

All around Marlborough grapevines are being netted. It seems no time at all since I was blipping images of netted vines last year. The year has just flown by. As the grapes begin to ripen nets are placed over the vines to protect them from birds.
Some netting merely stretches along the sides of each row in order to cover the actual crop. I will photograph that type of netting in the near future.
The netting shown in today’s image is on the vines in the Wither Hills label vineyards near where I walk the dogs. I like to think the netting looks like miles and miles of bridal veils.
