#16 Obambulate

DDW February Challenge #16 Obambulate

ALERT: I changed this picture! My husband convinced me to put this one up this morning--we were both waffling over which one to choose late last night. So to please him :) and have this one in my photo book, here it is. I've kept the commentary pretty much the same.

This day's word comes from the Phrontistery's list of obscure words, and it means to wander about, as in "These trumpeter swans have spent the day obambulating in the fields, oblivious to the chilling wind and rain," or "Obambulating aimlessly through open fields seems to be the primary objective of the neighborhood trumpeter swans today." It looks like the day was a sunny one, but true to February in Mount Vernon, this peek through was short lived, with dark clouds, heavy winds, and rains sweeping over the valley in the late afternoon and throughout this evening. These two trumpeter swans were obambulating in the field and stopped to watch the ducks fly away.
