#17 Palfry in a Phunky Plightle

DDW February Challenge #17 Palfry in a Phunky Plightle

A Dictionary of Archaic and Provincial Words:
Palfry, n., a saddle horse.
Phunky, adj., [land] completely saturated by rain.
Plightle, n., a small meadow; any small enclosed piece of land.

This palfry was with a companion in a small phunky plightle with the road on one side and a vertical hill of trees on the other. It was raining, and the plightle was phunky and muddy, without a lot to forage on. Their plightle and small stable were on a lonely stretch of the road, no houses nearby. She was very interested in my staying with her, talking to her, and feeding her the luscious long grass just on the other side of her fence. Here she is enjoying some grass that is definitely greener on the other side. :)
