Individual pale pink flowers
Add up to a deep pink chandelier
That drips with colour
From early spring
Against lush, pungent green leaves.

I'm always thrilled to see the flowers and leaves of the flowering currant, Ribes sanguineum, emerge. These were covered with tiny droplets of water this morning.

Off to bed now as seem to be succumbing to a stomach bug...
