Portobello Rowing Tank

Installed at The Scottish Rowing Club's HQ the purpose built Boathouse at Strathclyde Park, Motherwell this rowing tank mimics the conditions of open water.

Water is powered by submersible pumps and the flow can be adjusted to give various flow rates.

A central rowing frame simulates the structure of a boat. The gearing is adjusted to suit rowing or skulling.

Pity there are no rowing events in the forthcoming Commonwealth Games.
