Tinto Hill Cairn

Since I last walked Tinto (707m) a new cairn has been erected by Rotary International.

The busy compass/direction finder pictured is mounted on the cairn.

A previous cairn was removed, I think, by a misguided group of hill puritans who objected to all man made structures on hills. I once came across a fanatical woman dismantling a waymark stone by stone in the Argyll hills.
