Glasswing

I went down to RHS Wisley today to go and see the butterflies in the glasshouse. Due to the overcast/rainy weather, the butterflies weren't fluttering about too much... thus making it easier to photograph them!

Yes, there were showier species, and I've posted a few here on Flickr but I was fascinated by these little fellas.

They are appropriately called 'glasswings' and they are definitely worth a look in large for the detail - especially their stripy eyes! There are a few of these on Flickr as well...
