Christmas Cactus - Zygocactus Truncatus

It flowers at least twice a year. The plant must be about 25 years old now, a gift from our next door neighbour in our previous home. He has passed on now, but when it flowers, I think of him.

I used my macro lens, spot metering, with the plant in front of a black backdrop. Lit with four lamps.

#2 has just returned after a weekend in Oxford. It turns out he was delayed four hours on Friday going down due to a landslip, having to stand for more than two hours after he had to change trains. He was due back yesterday, but with trees down and more landslips, the lines were closed. Just glad he's back safely.
