Up in leafy Cheshire again today albeit destined to be slightly less leafy this Summer with the loss of numerous trees like this one.

It's difficult to get the scale of this tree. I'd say that rootball (if that's the technical term) was about eight feet high. Tree itself must have been 50 feet high and maybe 60 or 70 years old ? Hard to imagine the force the wind must have been exerting to blow this over. And it's not even in a particularly exposed spot.
