Shore

10.4C mostly cloudy and misty with a bright spell around lunchtime. Light breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound and I were out and about in the car this morning. We had to go to the vet to pick up another bottle of Maeve's anti inflammatory medication. Since we were out we carried on and did one or two other things I wanted done.

After lunch we walked down to the shore. We were fortunate to have chosen to go walking when the mist started to lift and down on the beach it was very pleasant. There were a few dog walkers.

The blip is expressing two meanings of the word shore. There is the land beside the sea and also some shoring up of the creel rack. I hadn't noticed until the other day but the recent high tides have undermined the structure somewhat and the palette base has collapsed at one side and it has been propped up by some extra pieces of wood. There are ropes tied round it too, leading to a more 'Heath Robinson' appearance.

When this happened last year there was a major rebuild once the creels were out at sea. Perhaps this time it might be rebuilt a bit further back from the beach to stop the collapsing. On the other hand, perhaps not.
