Full Flow

The water from the pipe that comes under the drive into the farm can't be more than this. What isn't visible is the amount that is spewing up above the open sluice and running down the banks into this garden, together with more overspill from the pond that is now being channelled by sandbags and creating another stream running into what is now a river.

In normal conditions, all the springs together would create enough water to just tip gently into a small brook. The bank you see in front is the boundary with my paddock. I estimate that the road, that runs just over the exit of the water, has collapsed another couple of inches in towards the garden over the past 24 hours. It doesn't sound much but, it is worrying that there are those that have to drive over it.
