New Toy

W. had been knitting for Sholto again. His new toy, a fantastic Pirate, was an instant success.

I met my niece and Sholto at Wakehurst Place. The plan had been to go to the Antiques Fair but as we were going to be on our own, it seemed sensible to meet at a less busy venue.

The clay soil was totally waterlogged. I doubt my shoes will survive the short walk I took through a field with the dogs before shutting them in the car for the duration of our visit. Baby is only three months old so, a walk around the gardens, lunch in the restaurant and a visit to the Millennium Seed Bank were a less muddy option for pram pushing.

I arrived home really late so this is a quick blip and I'd better get to work!
