Kings Lane

This is the famous Kings Lane which is known by another name by us locals ( and Google occasionally).
I always think it is a fantastic example of the 'Town and Gown' divide. Behind that rather subtle barrier is a lovely courtyard garden which today was full of trustafarian students smoking pipes and playing bridge, I expect they were all called Tarquin or Amelia.

The lane is pure brutalism. Which is odd considering each end is classic Cambridge. (This was the blip but I changed it).

Still it was nice to be in town, sun shining, loads of people about, lots of buskers as well some of whom are excellent whilst some are not!
